As well as supplying fencing, we also offer many fencing services which cover, fence erection, repair, cleaning, sealing, staining, storm damage repairs and protective fencing for otters, badgers, reptiles and amphibians. Our experienced fencing contractors are able to use the latest techniques and the highest quality materials available will carry out each service professionally and efficiently.
Our employees are fully qualified and highly experienced to install and erect all of the fence types we supply onto any premises. Each fence can be easily constructed on site especially weld mesh and chain link fences as they are supplied in rolls of certain lengths. All of our vans are fully equipped to be able to install each type of fence properly and dig holes needed to place fence posts.
Fence Repair & Maintenance
Fences can deteriorate after time or get damaged by storms or damaged due to vandalism & we have the experience and facilities to be able to repair any type of fence to restore it to its former state. Each fence will be repaired depending on the damage caused, for example mesh fencing involves removing the damaged panel and fitting a new one and chain link fencing will involve replacing the broken strands.
To prevent any damage, fences need to be properly maintained and we provide a professional maintenance service on a regular basis to ensure each fence we have installed isn't majorly damaged. Timber fencing needs more maintenance then our steel fencing as they aren't as durable and the wood can crack due to weather.
Reptile Proof Fencing
Not only do we install fencing around buildings but we also provide protective fencing for reptiles and amphibians such as the Great Crested Newt which is a protected species. We can also install fencing to protect badgers and otters in special wildlife areas to stop people destroying their habitat.
Otter Proof Fencing
Otter proof fencing is needed to keep otters in their natural environment, away from any danger. The most effective type of fencing is weld mesh fencing providing it is 1.2 metres high and dug at least 300mm into the ground. We at GT Jones Fencing have the skills and experience to install otter proof fencing effectively to keep otters where they belong and keep it fully maintained to ensure it will be an effective barrier.
Badger Proof Fencing
Badger fencing is a wire mesh fence to prevent badgers from moving in or out of a specific area and is constructed from high tensile wire. This fencing needs to be installed underground horizontally as well as vertically above ground to stop badgers from digging a hole under the fences. Our experience allows us to effectively install badger proof fencing to keep them protected in their habitat and reduce the loss of badgers.
Great Crested Newt Fencing
We are able to install temporary and permanent newt fencing to protect their habitats or to control their movement. The two types of fencing use different materials to help with the exclusion of newts from an area, temporary fencing is constructed from a polythene sheet and permanent fencing is constructed from rigid plastic or steel panels. Each type of fencing needs to be partially buried underground and either with a horizontal return or buried deeper to prevent newts from digging.
